we Cannot do everything but we can all do something,
if everybody does something THEN everything gets done
The Global Citizenship Programme is a platform for all. Be it individuals, organisations, communities, businesses or schools, we can all work toward a better and fairer world. The programme offers a chance to get involved in three key actions: tackling climate change through planting trees, collaborating with the Plastic Bank to become plastic neutral, and supporting grassroots community projects around the world working to make a difference in their communities through conservation, environmental, social and human rights initiatives.

the key issues and solutions
Planting trees helps to fight Climate Change by absorbing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (work out your carbon footprint here) and also helps to restore our threatened environments. Why wouldn’t you want to plant a tree? Trees are beautiful.
We have been running our Plant a Tree, Fund a Dream Scheme for a number of years now. Here’s where your money goes: £10 = 1 Tree = 1 Tonne of carbon absorption over 40 years! We will look after each tree until it reaches maturity. If you need some comparison, the EU's total carbon footprint was equal to 7 tonnes of CO2 per person in 2018. What’s more, we match fund the money donated with funding for children from disadvantaged backgrounds to receive education in their country! |
The Fair Earth Foundation and AWdF are collaborating with The Plastic Bank to help you go Plastic Neutral.
The Plastic Bank is a global organisation fighting to end plastic pollution and its devastating impact on the marine environment in particular. In just one year, 400 million metric tonnes of plastic is consumed globally. That’s an average of 53 kg for every person on this earth. For just £35, you can offset your 53 kg plastic footprint by making the Pledge to become Plastic Neutral. Your Pledge will help fund the setup of plastic recycling micro-enterprises in remote and vulnerable communities struggling with the plastic waste epidemic. |
Our Global Grassroots Community Action Programme allows individuals to select a dedicated project and support it.
We have a rolling database of organisations that we support - and we want to hear if you'd like us to shine a light on a particular organisation! All the projects on this list are known to our volunteers and have been recommended for their work and achievements. |
