PADI Underwater Photography Course

Introduction to Course

There are countless unique and breathtaking sights to be seen in the world beneath the waves, with beautiful creatures and ecosystems that the rest of the world is dying to see. Being able to capture these moments, whilst scuba diving, is a skill that every aspiring marine conservation needs. This specialty course helps you to easily achieve great photo and video results that will leave the terrestrial world breathless. This course also counts towards the Advanced Open Water Diver course and your Master Scuba Diver rating.

We use highly experienced PADI instructors that the AWdF have worked with for 30 years, most of our volunteers do their PADI open water course whilst they are with us, some of their favourite memories of Tenerife.

If you want the chance to be surrounded by cetacean researchers and likeminded people who are passionate about ocean conservation, whilst diving in the clear, warm waters and great weather in Tenerife, then this course is definitely for you.

Who should take this course?

  • Students, aspiring marine biologists, young professionals, anyone wanting to take their diving to the next level, aspiring photographers and filmmakers.

Course Objectives

Through hands-on training during two scuba dives and guidance from your PADI Professional, you’ll discover:

  1. How to choose the right underwater camera system for you.
  2. The PADI SEA (Shoot, Examine, Adjust) method for getting great shots quickly.
  3. Principles for good composition of underwater images.
  4. Practical techniques to take great photos with your digital camera.
