Nika Solce

Nika Solce is a composer and singer from Slovenia. She has performed with musicians from across the world and embraced the synthesis of sound with soul.

Gypsy brass band, Balkan wild rhythms, spiritual songs from India – Nika has expressed herself with equal alacrity wherever she has found a platform. She has a flair for composing her own tunes and combining them with music from other parts of the world. 

Very in tune with nature and interested in nature sounds, she is now researching both, the use of natural sound for communication with natural world and composing music with the use of them.

As an activist for conservation of local sea and nearby wetland, she has been recording underwater sounds and teaching people about the impact of industry and transport on marine life. Nika is also a puppeteer. who is combining puppetry and music in her shows.
