We have been running educational groups for the best part of forty years, largely to our main base in the Canaries but also across Asia, Africa and South/Central America. In the process we have built up not only great experience and strong networks but also a proven ethos combining many key elements:

• Bespoke Experience we build around individual participants’ interests (to ensure motivation and relevance) We listen to individuals and usually have 3-4 sub group projects running parallel so creating great energy.
• Individuals we get to know our participants through psychometric profiling, skills audits and expectation questionnaires. We create individual Action Plans.
• Progression we want to start long term relationships helping to develop each individual on their journey. Initial experiences can be built on in a more focussed way going forward both at our project base in the Canaries (Tenerife and with our projects around the world- Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas. ALL our leaders have been through our projects and we have micro finance funds to support the more entrepreneurial.
• Global Citizenship ALL participants get a £50 voucher to donate on their individual Global Citizenship page. They can donate it to a project of their choice, locally or globally, and we will add it to our global projects database so others can donate to the project as well OR they select one of the projects already on our database. If they want to go in person to give their funds raised or get to know better the organisation and its people then we can facilitate this. Certificates are issued.
• Fundraising. To further develop people’s sense of Global Citizenship and encourage altruistic behaviour we can support and facilitate major fundraising events (Teide and Adam’s Peak challenge) and offer matched funding. Our ‘core’ events support Women and Children, Trees and Whales/Dolphins
• Wellness we incorporate ‘wellness’ thinking into all our programmes- before, during, and after group trips and have opportunities for individual’ progression, even career options. We feel wellness should be at the heart of the education system.
• Low Cost we are not a business! We are volunteer led and driven and our goal is to provide opportunities that are accessible to all and not just the wealthy.
• Experiential Learning Our programmes are embedded in principles of Experiential Learning, its how we learn and develop as individuals. Individual involvement in planning actions and in reflection on experience is critical to this process.
• Ethical Practice our activities fully support and totally respect local communities.
• Entrepreneurial we actively encourage entrepreneurial activity and particularly so social entrepreneurship and have micro finance funds to facilitate great ideas.

Core Model:
Our educational groups combine several key elements:

1. Cultural understanding with immersion in both culture and nature. 
2. Heavily discounted Activities to broaden the student experience whilst supporting the local economy. 
3. A bank of local MENTORS to work with students (individual of small group) to develop their understanding and skill sets.
4. Experience in the shape of actual work experience or practical work assignments led by our mentors 
5. Talks and workshops 
6. Wellness is embedded into all our programmes 

Group Timetable:

• Induction is one day event the day after arrival
• Evenings: Reflection meetings are held each and every evening during the working week.
• Working week, Monday - Friday AM sessions, PM sessions (10 in total)- Talks, Project meetings/Mentor workshops, Activities, Group visits, Project planning, Project activities, Presentations.
