EU Funded Programmes

ERASMUS

​The AWdF has designed and delivered work experience opportunities under the Erasmus Programme for many years. Currently, with its network of partner Colleges, it is facilitating 80 student placements over the winter of 2019.

The AWdF focus is in the following areas.
  • Ecotourism
  • Animal management
  • Conservation in the environment
  • Marine conservation
  • Sports management
  • Horticulture
  • Creative Areas
  • Film-making
  • Graphics
  • Photography.

Placements are designed around the curriculum needs of the sending institution. The AWDF provides a student support framework covering preparation and planning, Mentoring arrangements, Pastoral care including experience handling mental health issues, provision of accommodation and catering requirements as well as all logistics, (flights insurances etc)

The report on last years programme was awarded an 82% approval rating by the EU assessors!!! Which is outstanding!

EVS

European volunteer service. Solidarity corp
The AWdF has EVS funding for 2 month and 1 year volunteer placements for UK based student interested in volunteering on the whale conservation programme, research guiding on while watching boats in Tenerife.

All costs covered and a small stipend paid.

We collaborate in Tenerife with Association Whalefund. Through which we have organised EVS funded volunteers from other European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Ireland. Malta....

INTERNSHIPS

We receive EU funded students on internships from across Europe, including Germany, France Holland, Belgium, UK Poland, Slovakia……

The AWdF provides a full support programme, liaising with the sending institution on all administrative and paperwork requirements, setting student goals and providing mentoring support.
