what is an earth ambassador?
The word Ambassador has many different meanings and can be used in many different contexts. We, at the Fair Earth Foundation, see Ambassadors as people who care passionately about the world, our world, and who want to ‘do something’; to give back in whatever space appeals to them be it concerning children, nature, the environment or human rights to name a few Earth Ambassadors are truly Global Citizens.
Our programme allows Ambassadors to select a dedicated project and support it- gaining as much recognition for the benefits accruing to, and involvement in, ‘their’ project as they wish. They can see where every penny of their support goes …and the benefits it leads to.
Ambassadors can be:
We want to support all of our Ambassadors around the world trying to make a difference. You can organise support in the form of equipment and resources, funding, expertise and volunteering. We encourage you to visit the projects and build a long-term relationship with the communities we are supporting.
Do Ambassadors have lots of Money?
Not necessarily! It is nice if they have, simpler but not essential. What they must have is passion to do something and with this passion comes motivation, energy and tenacity and the potential for galvanising others to action.
How much is involved?
People can contribute as little or as much as they want through our community ‘Just Giving’ pages. They can raise more funds or other Ambassadors can join with them or we will make up the difference - whatever it takes to make things happen.

- Supporting Charities Making a Real Difference
Supporting Enterprise with Women
Micro finance is facilitated 95% through women. Experience has shown that this is the most effective way to support communities. Our programmes work with communities of women in villages in Africa and Asia.
We provide markets for artisanal products, often of great quality, produced by women through out fair trade arm- True Fair Trading CIC and we channel income through the same women for improvement of their lives and those of their children.
The funds are normally used to provide educational opportunities for their children, improve their living environments (by building extra rooms for accommodation and/or developing their capacity to create wealth) and to create greater opportunities for them and their families to take more control of their lives and of their environment.
We have identified groups of women looking for support for their villages and communities in:

Tree Nurseries
Planting trees is one of the main ways we can reduce our carbon footprint. It also restores habitats for threatened species. Trees planted in Asia and Africa have a much greater impact on the environment than, say, in the UK. You and your community can help develop tree nurseries across the world. They will be built within local communities providing quality work and we will supply free of charge educational training in tree husbandry, climate change and carbon offsetting and sustainable business practices. We have identified projects available to support in:
Together will create a framework for how you can support these communities, and facilitate it to make it happen! Earth Ambassador Container Programme
We want to send containers to communities around the world, providing them with much needed materials for buiding, teaching supplies, sports and basic medical equipment. We can help support your fundraising efforts. With years of experience in raising funds, as well as some ingenious campaigns involving animal suits (the Epic 8 and the Dolphin Gang) we are on hand to support your community, school, office or youth centre in raising the £3000 it takes to fill and ship a container. You raise the monies and we can help fill the containers. We work with other charities to provide cycles, tools and books but through our networks we can supply almost anything. This TED talk by Dave Cieslewicz highlights the power of the bicycle for giving people freedom, and as a tool for social mobility
It is important that the goods supplied are not ‘dumped’ on local communities as this simply wrecks the local economy. Our approach is to work with communities to develop business opportunities which become sustainable and we supply business and enterprise support. Books and educational supplies are slightly different and are donated direct to schools. We, or you, can link educational equipment with volunteer teaching as required and we can fund the construction of libraries etc to house resources sent.
This is a great and clearly focussed way in which to provide direct support. Examples of containers sent in the past include 3 kms of piping to bring water to a village in Sierra Leone, books to a local school, bicycles and tools to help with tree planting initiatives Containers waiting to be funded:
Please get in touch if you'd like to support these communities. The Fair Earth Foundation provides several opportunities for you to become a Global Citizen.
Supporting Charities Making a Real Difference
When you give money to support a charity, you assume the money will be used to do good. However that’s not always the case. Some charities accomplish very little; a few may even unintentionally cause harm. Most charities probably have some positive impact, but the amount of good they achieve varies widely. By ensuring that you give to effective charities, you can be confident that your donations will make a significant difference. Habitat Destruction If you were to search online for your favourite species of animal, followed by "habitat destruction", you will be inundated with thousands of hits, of websites and news stories. In 2020 we want to support you in your passion and help you connect with the organisations that making a real difference. Please get in touch with us if you want to help us in our habitat protection work. Illegal Animal Trade We are also acutely aware of the issue of illegal animal trade. It is estimated to be a multibillion-dollar business involving the unlawful harvest of and trade in live animals and plants or parts and products derived from them. Wildlife is traded as skins, leather goods or souvenirs; as food or traditional medicine; as pets, and in many other forms. There are many great charities fighting against the illegal animals, and we will support you in supporting them. We will be heavily supporting the Zoological Society of London in their efforts this year. Climate Change
There is good scientific evidence to show the climate is changing because of emissions of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity. The bulk of emissions derive from our demand for energy. The largest contributor is carbon dioxide (CO2), emitted when fossil fuels are burnt to meet those demands. There are also other emissions attached to industrial processes and agriculture. The Climate Change Act (2008) made the UK the first country to establish a long-term legally binding framework to cut carbon emissions. It contains a target requiring emissions reductions by at least 100% by 2050. To limit the most damaging impacts of climate change, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions globally. A wider legal commitment – The Paris Agreement also exists, spanning the UK, the EU and globally, to address climate change. But it will take more than just legislation to ensure we tackle the problem. There are some fantastic organisations out there working towards raising awareness and coming up with real world solutions to stop climate change. We want to work with them and you to maintain these fantastic efforts. The Socially Disadvantaged
In 2017/18:
